Test Description

Why do we need to test?

Most people use formulas like "220 minus age" to estimate their max heart rate, but this is an average across a population — your actual value can differ significantly from someone the same age. To train accurately, you need to measure it yourself.

Choose the right test version:

  • If you have a 400m hill nearby with ~5% gradient, use the "Hill Version".
  • If you have no hill or it's your first test, use the "400m Track Version".
  • Only a treadmill available? Use the "Treadmill Version".
